In Brief
Poly's update of the hugely popular 8200 series (8210, 8220. 8240, 8245) connects to deskphone, PC and mobile. Available in 3 wearing styles, mono, stereo and convertible. The 8445 is the convertible variant of the 8400 series and the convertible options are mono with headband, neckband and earhook included. The new base with LCD (not touchscreen) display is the same as the 7400 Office series (launched at the same time), the only difference between the 2 series is the headsets themselves.
The 8400s use the exact same headset as the 8200 series. The stereo (8420) has Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) in the earcups and all have a good noise cancelling microphone with Poly's close conversation limiting technology. The convertible model, 8245 comes with a battery charger and quick swap spare battery so will never run out of juice.
To make either series hybrid friendly, just add a BT700 dongle to work from home, then use the base unit for all 3 connections when in the office.
