The Yealink UH36 is a good value professional wired headset. It has a 3.5mm jack to connect to some mobiles and a USB-C connection. This can be used for any computer OR a phone with a USB headset port.

The Yealink UH36 Series all come with a 3.5mm connection for some mobile phones aNnd the older/larger USB-A connection. It is available in Mono (with one earcup) and Dual (with 2 earcups), as an MS Teams certified verion and standard UC version.
Certification explanations - MS Teams (-M) vs UC
Teams Certified. Functionality can depend on how you use Teams and the package you have but in general a Teams certified headset will allow you some shortcuts into Teams and its functions and potentially some Teams alert notifications. If you don't use it with Teams, it will work as a UC headset with 99.9% of applications.
UC stands for 'Unified Communications' , essentially that just means it’s not certifed for Teams but is certified for other things. It will still work with Teams, giving you audio, you just won't get those shortcuts or notifications) and, like the MS version can be used with other softphones and applications. Standard (or 'UC') versions are certified for use with all leading UC platforms and will work with any application regardless.
Digging a little deeper
How does it work? Pretty straightforward! You can plug it into a mobile phone or tablet via the 3.5mm jack (adaptors are available for most phones if you don't ahve that port). This also connects to a YHC20 controller which converts it to a USBheadset and also allow you to control volume, answer/end a call* and redial the last number* (*when used with Yealink phones only). When used with a PC, its best to utilise the USB connection.
Quality sound We tested this against other brand competition and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of sound both ways. The microphone is wideband, so your voice won't sound all tinny on calls.
Rock out between calls Made for calls and music, this headset is kitted out with wideband HD audio technology and passive noise cancellation that ensures a richer and clearer conversations, eliminates background noises as well.
Comfort The over-the-head style and soft leather ear cushions are easy on your head and ears. Its ergonomic design makes UH36 comfortable enough for long conference calls and all day use.
Noise cancelling microphone Noisy office? no problem. The noise cancelling microphon on the UH36 will block out this noise for your caller.
Updates As with all headset we do recommend you keep the firmware up to date via the Yealink website
Overall we think this an excellent value product for the performance you get out of it. So if the budget's tight and you don't need/want the freedom of Bluetooth connectivity, this is a good option for you.
