Poly's update to the popular 7300 series. The 7400s use the same headsets as the 7300 Office series, have the Acoustic Fence technology in the microphone, greater security encryption and can be used en masse in call centre type environments. Unlike the 7300s, they connect to PC, desk phone AND mobile. The 7400s do not have an ANC option in the range. To make a 7400 por 8400 hybrid friendly, just add a BT700 dongle to work from home, then use the base unit for all 3 connections when in the office.
Savi 7400 is for customers seeking an ultra-secure wireless DECT™ headset with premium security features and Acoustic Fence Technology to keep conversations private. Meets the Microsoft Open Office Standard. We also recommend the Savi 7400 series for customers concerned with wireless density in the office – these models offer 2x better density performance than other DECT™ headsets.

- There’s no Active Noise Cancelling in the earcups for the 7400 series; you will need to upgrade to the 8420 for that
MS Teams Certified vs UC
Quick guide
If you plan to use your headset (when on the computer) mostly with Teams, get the Teams version. If not (and particularly if you plan to use with a softphone), get the UC version. If your version isn't available, give us a call and we'll check if a different variant will impact you at all.
A bit more detail
MS Teams certified headsets come out of the box with some additional shortcuts or notifications when Teams is running. They are compatible with Zoom, Googlemeet and most softphones. They're just best buddies with Teams. There are no compatibility issues, you may just want to answer a softphone call and find your headset trying to open MS Teams.
UC or Unified Communications headsets will work with all programmes. It will be certified for major softphones. It WILL work with Teams, you just may not see those extra features that a Teams Certified version would give you.
NB The ability for a headset to offer remote call control when used with a softphone (answer calls from the headset) is based on coding that needs to be built into the softphone. This usually also needs an app from the headset manufacturer to be downloaded for a settings change to be made to the headset.
