Jabra Evolve 75 ANC Bluetooth Headset

April 2024  The Evolve 75  series has been discontinued by Jabra and is no longer available.  As an alternative we reccommend the excellent Evolve2 55 range.  The Evolve2 75 is also an obvious alternative but we've had some reports that the microphone performance isn't great. In brief:

The Jabra Evolve 75 is an older headset and a trailblazer in Jabras Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) range. It's been hugely popular as an entry level ANC headset for computer (via dongle - USB-A only) and mobile (via Bluetooth). Whilst other headsets in the Evolve2 range have greater durability,and have some sexier features, this should still be considered if you're on a tight budget,   It features an online indicator light on the earcups and NFC pairing, up to 15-hour Bluetooth battery life. NB Dongle is not compatible with USB desk phones. Stay charged on the go with the detachable USB cable or the optional charge stand. Connect seamlessly with major online voice call services and stay ahead of the game.

Variants:

The Evolve 75 has 4 models. UC and MS; UC versions are for all platforms and still work with Teams. MS Teams versions are if you use MOSTLY Teams (otherwise the Teams button will keep trying to talk to Teams, rather than your softphone which is just annoying!)  All the stand does is charge the headset, the non-stand version has a cable to facilitate charging.

• Good audio quality for both voice calls and music playback.
• Compatibility with major online voice call services for seamless communication.

What we don't love:

• Microphone can only be worn on the right
• Track skipping functionality only works on mobile devices, not via PC.
• The Evolve 75 is available in stereo only, without a mono variant (makes sense as it's ANC!)
• No USB-C dongle option (Its an older headset)

In Detail:

Product Update 2022.  The 'SE' version is the same as the old version but now comes with the Link 380 dongle.  Working in the exact same way as the non SE model.  If you have an old Evolve working with a desk phone via the dongle please call to check compatibility as the newer dongle may not be compatible.

The Jabra Evolve 75 is a professional Bluetooth headset with superior Active Noise Cancelling allowing you block out distractions in an open office.

The open plan office is here to stay and whilst it enables greater collaboration and a more social atmosphere, when you need to focus, the interruptions and general noise levels can simply stop you from working effectively. Cue rousing hero music... Evolve 75 to the rescue!

Evolve 75s come with a USB dongle to enable them to work with your computer or laptop (NOT A DESK PHONE unless you have Bluetooth or USB functionality on the handset). So it's for video conferencing, Skype, softphones, dictation, listening to audio files (Pandora, Spotify etc and of course your own music files) or video. And of course the headset itself is Bluetooth so your mobile phone will also connect.

The Active Noise Cancelling helps you manage background noise allowing you to focus on the task at hand (or your music/call). You don't want to have to take the headset off to turn off the ANC every time you need to chat so there's a handy 'listen in function' allowing you to clearly hear what's going on around you. (Huge potential for a spot of eavesdropping too!)

The Evolve 75s are ALL about concentration and nothing kills concentration like persistent interruptions. Jabra have added very useful busy lights - red lights on both earcups. They come on automatically when you're on a call or you can turn them on with a couple of button presses to show you're not available.

Please note the headset can only be worn with the microphone arm on the right side. It doesn't rotate so it can also be worn to the left. This is because it has a handy mute function; if you flip the mic arm up so it's parallel with the headband, the mic mutes, then un-mutes when you bring it back down again. This is a nice intuitive feature and stops you fumbling for the mute button if you're about to sneeze or cough! That said if you always wear the mic on the left it may take some getting used to.

Unlike many headsets this Jabra is great at both voice calls and music reproduction so you can listen on your rad tunes and use it for calls without compromising on sound quality

The Evolve 75 is an excellent & affordable Active Noise Cancelling headset great for music and calls, a must for concentration. Just a reminder though, it is Bluetooth and USB so unless your desk phone has one of those, you need to look in our Wireless Headsets section
