What does 'certified for MS Teams' actually mean? Excellent question!! It means there are a few Teams functions pre-programmed into the headset. Eg The ability to launch Teams on your desktop directly from the headset. Also if you're on a mobile call using the headset, it will change your 'presence' in Teams to unavailable.
Additionally, troubleshooting a Teams Certified device rules out any potential issues around compatibility or what the quality of the experience should be. That is not to say they'll offer overall tech support for the headset - Poly and Simply would do that. If you don't use it with Teams you will find this headset identical to the non Teams version.
With on demand Active Noise Cancelling you can choose when to activate it, giving you the freedom and control over your office environment. We did a few tests in the office and while it can lessen constant background noises such as air-con and electronic hums quite well, we weren't that impressed with the noise cancelling for voices. That's just one office, not exactly a scientific test but our experience. Do check out reviews for more info.
Sound quality is great. The dual wearing style and superior wideband sound quality make every call sound great no matter what device you are using. The Focus has a nice bass balance for music
Designed for comfort the Voyager Focus has large leatherette ear cushions and a unique 'hammock' pressure reducing style headband for all day wear without pinching or any discomfort. Its not a supertight fit though, so if you rock out at you desk or are very mobile, looking under desks etc for things you'll need to be a bit careful.
Please note this version of the Voyager Focus comes with the desk top charging stand. This keeps your desk nice and tidy but if you want to take it home or move from office to office you can just charge the headset with a standard micro USB to USB cable.
