What is EPOS? EPOS is the new co-branded name for Sennheiser.
This updated version of the very popular SC 230 USB CTRL has leatherette covers over the acoustic foam ear cushions, and comes with a nylon carry bag. There have also been improvements in the software, with the handy addition of an EU limiter (to further reduce risk of acoustic shock, due to sudden loud noises). Audiophiles will be happy with the new automatic 'music mode' to improve quality when listening to music, which has never been great for USB headsets designed primarily for voice communication.
Not sure if you want a headset with two ear cushions or one? If you want to hear what's going on around you, a one-eared headset (this SC 230!) is the one for you. And if you're in a noisy office, or want to really focus on the task at hand, get the duo version - the SC 260.
The Sennheiser SC230 USB CTRL II is a monaural, wideband noise-cancelling corded headset, designed for use with PC, softphones, Skype and video conferencing, or voice recognition/dictation systems. The SC 230 is an over-the-head wearing style, with a revolving microphone that enables the gadget to be worn on either ear.
