How does this lifter work?
Designed for Plantronics wireless headsets, the HL10 handset lifter connects under your phone’s hand piece like a robotic cradle. When the phone rings, your headset will beep in your ear. You simply hit the button on the side of your headset and this sends a signal to the robotic cradle to lift the hand piece up. This then accepts the call and you start to talk through the headset To hang-up, you simply hit the button on your headset again and the cradle puts the hand piece back. In this way you can answer and hang up on calls away from your desk when using a wireless headset. Remember, however, that the lifter will not let you perform any other phone function like transfer or conference. It purely provides a convenient way to take calls from anywhere in the office without having to return to your desk.

I think the only reason we had a real ease set up is because of personal previous experience with this product. It should be made abundantly clear that the handset lifter is a necessary item for most office phones. I knew then to choose the bundle option rather than look for the (supposedly) cheaper option of the headset alone. The team have been using the headsets for 3 weeks now and really enjoy their flexibility and the quality of sound. The only poor feedback is that they have needed to remember to take it off when heading to the facilities, to avoid embarrasment! |

In fact i purchased the Voyager 510 USB, but will continue as tho' they are the same....rnFound the diagrams showing how to change between left and right sides to wear the device, confusingrnI was disappointed that without the bluetooth dongle inserted into a USB port,, my computer cannot locate the headset....an inconvenience, but annoying, its one more piece of stuff to pack and carry when travelling. My old headset paired quite happily with my lap top, but the Plantronics Voyager 510 USB wont |
